In a Moment of Time
Chapter 11
Insight My theory: The Subconscious Brain Operates at Light Speed
~~~~~~~~ “Pam! This is simply fantastic. Just think…” With that, I launched into a jet-stream barrage of why our midnight, mysterious minds operate beyond the confines of time, allowing some of us to experience the threshold where time ceases to exist – a marvelous place where events, past or present can be “seen” in the context of their occurrence. In looking for the perfect fit of thoughts, scattered around like bits and pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, first one thought and then others come together, eventually forming a complete idea. If you know that eccentric fellow, the brilliant Jew, Albert Einstein, you are familiar at least with the title of his thesis on the “Theory of Relativity,” or E=mc2, as it is also known. As a critical thinker, did he ask the question: “Is it possible to accelerate an object to the speed of light? And, if so, what then lies beyond that threshold?” Marvelous questions! In the prime of Dr. Einstein’s time, the Old Testament was, and still is, considered to be the most excellent resource for a searching mind like Einstein’s. For instance, in Psalm 19:1-4 "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." That section, to me, sounds like neutrinos, which are electrically neutral subatomic particles that just happen to penetrate absolutely everything! Then, thinking about our galaxy, our sun was conceived and born from the heart of the Milky Way. Psalm 19:5-6 continues "In the heavens, God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth." If I see a correlation, there’s not a moment of doubt in my mind that Dr. Einstein saw the light of what the Bible had to offer as a resource. |
So, moving on… God, not being confined to time, exists within and beyond the speed of light. He tells us to “be [exist] in the light as He is in the light.” Yet, He also informs us that it can’t be accomplished in “flesh and blood.” [1Cor 15:50] Is that where our E=mc2 friend got his first clues on which he built his famous theory? Einstein pointed out that the faster an object travels, the more thrust it needs to continue accelerating, but then, adding more thrust creates a weighted drag on the object. Therefore, in the flesh, we cannot enter into the place of His light. What to do? I asked my great Eternal Friend, who says that if we ask for wisdom; He will give it to us abundantly. So, I asked, “How, Lord? How can we be in the light with You?” We find His clear answer in the book of John, chapter 4, verse 24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and truth.” Scientists on the cutting edge of physics now theorize that as the speed of light, which is 186,000 miles per second, becomes imminent there is a threshold where time ceases to exist, and simply is.* What do you know? That fits perfectly with the verse in Hebrews 13:8, which says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” He doesn’t foresee the future ...He is there! Now, correspondingly, there is a new genius on the scene. The preteen genius, Jacob Barnett, is fascinating scientists from coast to coast. Dr. Einstein knew that his theory was not perfect. Young Jake suspects there are gaps in Einstein’s theory, yet to be filled in. He can see where Dr. Einstein’s theory can be better formulated and clarified. Time will tell. In the meantime, another friend just asked me about the timing of the “dead in Christ” being raised first, to be followed by believers who remain. [1Thessolonians 4:16-17] My thought is that in the “twinkling of an eye” moment, we who as heirs of the kingdom, will no longer be confined by time. In other words, time will not be relevant. The entire concept of the “rapture” is miraculous – why mess with time! Somewhere in here, I was making a point. The point of how it can be that some can dream futuristic dreams or see futuristic visions. I have had those dreams, and I have seen those visions. My conclusion is that when we sleep, our subconscious mind free-floats beyond time, allowing us to tap into events that are yet to happen in real-time.
