As a point of interest, my hand-embroidered cape once was the tribal cape of Her Majesty Queen Alia of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. I picked it up at a Jordanian shop selling celebrity clothes.
CLOWNING, surely not me. I thought I was too self-conscious. But then, my instructor suggested I try on a new face and when I did, I started laughing at myself and haven't stopped now for more than fifteen years. When I see the laughter and joy it brings others, it makes it all worthwhile.  Sure, it takes me two hours to get Madam Flutterby together, and people have the nerve to laugh at me... but then, aren't they supposed to?

Here's where it all began...   Steve & Mindy Benintendi & daughters
Thanks guys for the gift of clowning!
